Today we have continued with our topic of castles.
One of the activities was making crowns ready for our banquet. The children had to copy a crown modelled by an adult and then decide how to decorate it themselves.
The children played in the role-play area. They could dress up in medieval clothes, pretend to fire cannonballs over the castle wall, decorate a shield or make a symmetrical crown.
The children were also using the tuft spot area to investigate which materials allowed light from a torch to shine through.
