New website links added!

Please check out the new links I have added. They are links to websites about Australia, which is where we have been this week!

Perhaps you could create an underwater scene like the Great Barrier Reef for your homework!

Today the yellow table have been thinking about what units they would measure classroom objects in.

Their task was to find which objects they would measure with either

CM or m
Kg or g
L or ml

Do you agree with the units of measure they have chosen for each item?

Australian Week!

This week the children in 2RW have been to Australia! Well, not really, but we have been learning all about it!

We had a craft afternoon where the children could choose to make either a didgeridoo, a boomerang or an origami koala.

The children have also been learning about Aboriginal Artwork. They have practised this style and then designed a pattern or picture using the dots.

We are going to put their aboriginal artwork on top of cakes ready to sell on Red Nose Day this Friday.

Whole school Cookathon

On Thursday it was the cookathon at our school. Each year group spent an hour preparing vegetables and a few children were selected to cook the vegetable korma.

Thank you to the parents in 2CE who were very kind and stayed to support my children in 2RW. You were very thoughtful!

Take a look at the children preparing the vegetables. Don't worry, the children were supported when they had a knife!!

Here are the children eating the finished product!
