This week we have been focusing on money in Numeracy.
We have bought items and made the correct total using coins.
We have begun working out how much change is needed when buying items from a shop.
We have also been looking at exchanging coins of the same value. We matched the purses that had the same amount, then photographed it on the iPads.
Our new topic this term is Up, up and away!
The children have been watching the film 'Up' to help them with their designing this week.
The challenge we gave the children was to design a flying machine that had something similar to the house in the film 'up'.... helium balloons!

Today we have written a diary entry to remind ourselves about what we did yesterday and today.
We also attached our gift tags and hung them up ready for the fair on Wednesday!
Miss Rogan helped the children attach a red ribbon for decoration.
On Thursday we had our yummy Christmas dinner!
We made reindeer hats to get us in the festive spirit!
We are pleased to announce that as a school, we raised £150.23!
This is such a great amount, considering we were collecting small change!
This has already been sent off and will be used to support men's cancer.
